2. What is wrong with Earl Thomas?

Earl got himself turned around in coverage, and Kenny Stills was wide open for a very easy touchdown. Only a terrible drop bailed the Seahawks out.

After that, Thomas seems to be in on every big play for the Dolphins. Missed tackle after missed tackle by Thomas plagued the defense. Those extra yards added up, and directly resulted in setting up all 10 Miami points and their missed FG.

Seattle’s defense scheme is dependent on Earl Thomas making those plays. The don’t keep a 2nd safety back, so when Thomas makes a mistake, bad things happen.

I think it is safe to admit that Thomas knows this wasn’t his best game.
