Jimmy Graham Makes Seahawks Even Better
The best just got better.
The Seattle Seahawks finally have that lethal option on 3rd and short. They finally have that big body in the red zone. They have made Marshawn Lynch even more dangerous. Close to 900-yards and 10 TD’s last year as the leagues premier tight end.

This isn’t even a fair fight.
If the Seahawks stay healthy on offense with newly acquired TE Jimmy Graham, the #1 ranked defense may actually get a chance to rest during games. This one great trade will make Seattle’s defense better and more confident in their team’s offense. I have to believe Jim Harbaugh is feeling even better about his decision to leave the 49ers.
It may seem like a typical overreaction to a blockbuster trade, but this trade actually makes sense. It’s not just bringing in a name to generate buzz. Seattle is blanketed by buzz every year. Seattle filled a need with the best the position has to offer. Russell Wilson is likely the most excited of all Seahawks players. What an amazing option for so many situations. Start the MVP chants now for our QB!
Opposing defenses will now have to worry about Wilson running, Lynch on a screen and Graham ready to rescue Wilson. Luke Willson is a solid player, but his inconsistencies made him less of a threat than needed. In the Super Bowl, Seattle didn’t even target Willson, which will never happen with Graham.
Prior to this acquisition, two others stand out during the Carroll/Schneider era: Lynch and Percy Harvin. Lynch obviously has been a franchise player who continues to dominate. Harvin, as of the time of this post, is unemployed after being cut by the Jets. Make today the third big splash of this era, which barring injuries, will pay off big on the way to a third straight NFC Title and Super Bowl appearance.
This is gonna be a fun year 12s!
GO HAWKS!
